BELLEVUE FIREFIGHTERS RESPOND TO 22 VICTIM MULTIPLE CASUALTY INCIDENT

During the evening hours on Friday July 23rd, 2010, Bellevue Firefighters were dispatched to a reported bus loaded with children into a tree in the Lake Hills area of the city. Arriving firefighters found 22 victims suffering from various injuries. The bus reportedly entered out into traffic striking another vehicle before careening off the road and into the tree. Fortunately all of the injured children appear to have only minor injuries. The bus driver however, was reportedly more seriously injured and was transported by Medic 2. In all, Engine 2, 6, 7, Ladder 1, Light Force 3, Medic 2, Aid 2, 3, Medical Officer 5, and Battalion 1 responded on the incident. Victims were transported to area hospitals.
